I am due for my first full retightening so I thought I'd take at least one picture in order to compare before and after shots. I must say I've been enjoying the short 'do very much!! It's just so funky and free - I can't take it!! :) My big news is that I decided to take the four day training class this past weekend here in Charlotte. That's right - this "newbie's" a Sisterlocks trainee!! I met a lot of wonderful women including Dr. Cornwell, and spent more quality time with my own trainee who took the class as a refresher. It was a very special long weekend. Go Sisterlocked sisters!! Well, tomorrow's another day. I have to say goodbye to my beloved center part - Connie has said "Girl, it's got to go." (Yes, I have LOVED my center part - strange but true). Looking forward to a new style. In the meantime, I need to see about minding my business at home as a new trainee. Looking forward to meeting you at the Meetup! How is the consultancy going? I was so in love with my locks in the beginning I thought about getting certified - to share sisterlocks freedom with others, but decided I had WAY too many irons in the fire.
I've been maintaining my own locks for just over a year and I often get requests from people who admire my locks. They ask me to start or maintain theirs, but I REALLY don't have the time.
Can't wait to talk to you in person!

First, thanks for setting up a meeting. Love your hair and your spirit! When I first researched sisterlocks, I decided to invest in the full course because I wanted complete freedom, and that meant knowing at least as much as my trainee knew. I love sharing the joy. (My back disagrees though - it is TIME consuming work). Looking forward to meeting you!! :)
